Springs State Park Activities include camping, canoeing,
fishing, boating, picnicking, swimming, scuba diving, and nature trails are
available at the park. (some fees required) Here is a map
to it.
Directions: Take I-4
East to Orange City.
Take the exit number 53CB- towards
ORANGE CITY.
Merge onto SAXON BLVD/CR-4146 W. for
about 1.3 miles
Turn RIGHT onto ENTERPRISE RD.
for about 1 mile
Merge onto Route 17 (S VOLUSIA AVE).
for about 2 miles
Turn LEFT onto W FRENCH AVE.
Drive west on French Avenue to park
entrance. (2.5 miles from 17/92)
Camp La-No-Che is north of Orlando. Here is a map to it. Camp La-No-Che is part of the 1,480 acre Winn-Dixie Scout Reservation in Central Florida on the southern edge of the Ocala National Forest. Camp La-No-Che is in a excellent area for an outdoor adventure located on Lake Norris, a Florida lake being protected for its environmental sensitive waterway. Camp La-No-Che is on the Northern edge of the Wekiva River Protection Area.
Camp Mitchell
is a Boy Scout property in north of Deltona. Here is a map
to it, and the directions are:
Take I-4 East to Lake Helen / Deland,
exit 116 (old exit 55).
Turn left at the end of the off-ramp
onto Orange Camp Rd, SR 4116.
After 0.8 mi, turn right at a T intersection
onto SR 4139.
After 0.5 mi, turn left onto Ohio
Ave.
After 1.9 mi, turn right onto dirt
road at gate with "BSA".
To get to the camping area, bear right
at the house, driving over the
grass, and continue for about 0.8
mi.
Geneva Wilderness Area is just east of Oviedo. Here is a map to it. The Geneva Wilderness Area is a 180 acre site that lies to the south of the Geneva community on SR 426 in East Seminole County. The Geneva site contains an array of native Florida plant communities from Mixed Hardwood Swamp and Mesic Hammocks to Xeric Oak, all supporting an equally diverse collection of wildlife. A hike through these habitats can reward visitors with sighting gopher tortoise, white-tailed deer, wild turkey, grey fox.

County Gun Range
Take 426 out to Geneva.
Cross 46 and go through Geneva according to the detail
map until you get
to Osceola Rd.
- Left on Ave. C
- Right on Old Geneva Rd. and follow through bends (general
map here)
Turn right on Osceola Rd and go for about four miles. If you reach the
landfill, you have gone too far.
The gun range is on the left, and marked "Seminole County Gun and
Archery Club" or something like that.
Once inside the gun range, bear left to go to the Sheriff's range and
avoid the public range.
Silver
River State Park The park has over 5,000 acres containing
14 distinct plant communities, nearly 20 miles of river frontage and many springs.
Activities include camping and canoeing. Here is a map

Park is located 1 mile south of SR 40 on C-35 east of Ocala.
Wekiva Springs State Park The park has approximately 7,000 acres of wild scenery. Wekiwa Springs, for which the park is named, is one of the region's familiar and popular geologic features. The spring's name is derived from the Creek Indian word "Wekiwa" meaning "spring of water" or "bubbling water." Wekiwa Springs State Park is located off Interstate 4 at exit 49. Take State Road 434 West to Wekiwa Springs Road or State Road 436 to Wekiwa Springs Road near Apopka. Detailed directions and a map are here.
