Annual Hoedown Geneva Wilderness

Historian's Notes

by Josh Thomas

When we arrived everyone unloaded the ropes and poles for the tower.

Dingoes and Mosquitoes where split into groups and tied the lashings.

After that we put the four rectangles together. Steven sat on Jason’s shoulders to work on the top lashings. When we were done everyone took turns climbing the tower.

Then we had lunch.

When we got to the main site in Geneva wilderness, we had contests and relay races.

When the Court of Honor started, we had trouble with the flag ceremony. After that we enjoyed dinner.

At the campfire, we sang songs and did skits like trench wars. Then everyone left for home.
